InterVarsity Experiential Discipleship
One of the new ventures of InterVarsity’s Experiential Discipleship program is a series of podcasts designed to equip students and partners with tools to help in their journey with Jesus.
There’s a long list of things not to talk about in church: sex, race, money, politics, and questions about faith.
But if God really is God, He’s bigger than our questions. He is not caught off guard by our doubts and he is glad to hear us and engage with our difficulties. So let’s ask the questions that we’re carrying, because if we were perfect, we wouldn’t need God. But we need God, and we definitely have questions. The “Ask Me Anything” podcast is hosted by Kyle Lee, the NY/NJ Media Production Coordinator.
Kyle Lee is the InterVarsity NY/NJ Media Production Coordinator and Stephen Rowe is a Campus Staff Minister in Long Island, NY. They co-host the Gardens and Empires Podcast where some of the best stories of what God is doing in New York and New Jersey are shared. Interviews with staff, students, and ministry leaders/partners chronicle the moves of God on campus and in our communities.
Thanks for listening and we invite you to keep the conversation going!
At InterVarsity, we work to develop leaders with the character and capacity to change the world by developing them into people who engage with injustice in an emotionally healthy way.
Our world is broken. We need people who are responsive to the pain and suffering of others in the world, as well as the joy and delight available too - not just reactive to all that’s happening nearby and worldwide. We need people who are prayerfully resistant and sustainable, not just passionate and active.
TEACH US HOW TO PRAY
AN IVED PODCAST
Prayer is communication with God. Followers of Jesus believe that God can hear us and we can hear Him. So prayer is equal parts talking and listening. But what does that look like practically? The Teach Us How to Pray Podcast is the place we have reserved to focus exclusively on the most important relationship in the life of a person - our relationship with God.
AN IVED PODCAST
Every day, we are bombarded with content. From memes and gifs to documentaries and movies and that’s not even mentioning the face to face experiences we have each day that challenge and shape us every day. This is Civil Writes: Reflections on Race, Power, Faith and Sexuality. Each of our episodes will feature an article or piece of media about the aforementioned topics. Then, we will dialogue with the creator of that content with our host, Kyle Lee.
